FAQ
What’s the difference between sapphire and tempered glass?
The main difference is scratch resistance—sapphire is much more scratch-resistant. However, because of its high hardness, sapphire is also more brittle compared to tempered glass.
Will sapphire crack?
Yes, it can. Despite its incredible hardness, sapphire is still a crystal and can crack if impacted. We recommend using a protective case to minimize the risk.
Is there a warranty if the sapphire protector cracks?
Yes, but we can’t offer a free replacement due to the high production cost. For iPhone 15 and earlier devices, we’ll give you a 50% discount on a future order if the screen protector breaks within 30 days of delivery. For iPhone 16, we’ll send a high-quality tempered glass protector as a replacement if your sapphire protector cracks.
Why don’t you use the advanced pull tab installation method?
We’ve tried various fancy tools, but they don’t work well with sapphire because it’s not as flexible as tempered glass. This makes it more likely for air pockets to get trapped in the middle, which are tough to remove.
Do you make sapphire protectors for Samsung devices?
Unfortunately, no. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the S Ultra only works with screen protectors that are thinner than 0.01mm, and we can’t make sapphire that thin.
What about other Android phones?
We don’t make specific screen protectors for Android devices due to the wide variety of screen sizes. However, we list the dimensions of our sapphire screen protectors on our website, so you can find a match. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro Max protector works perfectly with the Nothing Phone 1 and 2.
